Experience the Thrill of Fishing at the Whangarei Deep Sea Anglers Club!
The WDSAC was founded by Captain L.W. Waldron in 1944 and was among five original Clubs that formed the New Zealand Big Game Fishing Council in 1957. Since its humble beginnings at Parua Bay, and later relocation to the renowned fishing grounds of Tutukaka, the Club has continued to grow and played a leading role in the growth of the Council and Sport in New Zealand.
At the Whangarei Deep Sea Anglers Club, we’re more than just a fishing destination; we’re a vibrant community united by a shared passion for the sport. Located on the stunning Tutukaka Coast, New Zealand, our club has been a cornerstone for fishing enthusiasts since 1944. With over 1,000 members, we celebrate the camaraderie that comes from shared experiences on the water.
Our clubhouse is a hub of activity, featuring an Anglers Bar & Bistro serving delicious, freshly prepared dishes, bubbles for relaxation, and a welcoming club room complete with pool tables for friendly competition. Additionally, our function room, "The Lookout," offers a fantastic space for events and gatherings, providing beautiful views of the marina. We host seven exciting fishing tournaments each year, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and friendly rivalry among our members. Whether you're an experienced angler or just starting out, our club offers a welcoming environment for everyone to enjoy.
Join us at the Whangarei Deep Sea Anglers Club and become part of a community that embraces the thrill of fishing and the joy of friendship! Your adventure awaits!
